ROBERT SHELDON, JD

Robert is the President and CEO and Co-Founder of Ferrari Philanthropic Consultants, Inc. specializing in major gift fundraising, planned giving, charitable estate and gift planning, data base management (CRM), endowment campaigns, capital campaigns, feasibility studies, management and leadership development, and strategic planning for key charitable and philanthropic organizations in  California and Nationally.

Robert brings extensive technical and successful gift planning expertise to philanthropic organizations. His leadership and successful execution of closed gifts is widely known in part for his extensive knowledge of gift planning techniques, his ability to provide creative gift solutions based on sound estate planning and financial principles, coupled with innovation and developing strong enduring donor and leader relationships.  He is an inspirational coach and leader with Chief Philanthropy Officers, Gift Planners and Gift Officers looking  to him for guidance and counsel in the ever-changing non-profit sector and the philanthropic world.

Robert also provides guidance in managing marketing efforts related to fundraising and donor database projects/CRM. In the healthcare sector, ​Robert has worked with organizations that include St. Joseph Hospital in Orange and Eureka, Mission Hospital, St. Jude in Fullerton, and St. Mary Medical Center in the High Desert developing and implementing their Estate and Major Gift Planning programs.  He also served as the Executive Director of the Laguna Beach Community Foundation.

Prior to co-founding Ferrari Philanthropic Consultants, Inc. Robert held Senior Management Leadership positions with KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte & Touche LLP, and Southern California Edison. Robert has been an actively involved in the charitable community with organizations that include the  Orange  and Los Angeles Counties Councils of Charitable Gift Planners, the Orange County Estate Planning Council, the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Association of Healthcare Professionals, Human Options - Men's Board, Junior Achievement, The Orange County Performing Arts Center, and Working Wardrobes for A New Start. Robert is also a past member of Rotary International.

Amanda J. Ferrari, JD

Amanda Ferrari is a visionary estate and gift planner and philanthropy leader widely known for her extensive knowledge of gift planning techniques and her ability to provide creative gift solutions based on sound estate planning and financial principles, coupled with innovation and developing strong enduring donor and leader relationships.  She is an inspirational servant leader with chief philanthropy officers, gift planners and gift officers looking to her for guidance and counsel in the ever-changing health care sector and the philanthropic world. She was tapped to build a broad based team of philanthropic/fundraising professionals across a diversified Western Region consisting of 51 hospitals using 21st-century approaches to increase public support for important health care issues that include heart disease, treating and curing cancer and other serious illnesses also focusing on philanthropy to serve the poor and vulnerable.

Prior to re-entering the philanthropic consulting sector, Amanda was the Vice President of Philanthropy and Chief Estate and Gift Planning Officer for Providence St. Joseph Health, the nation’s third-largest health system.  While there, she was instrumental in integrating multiple hospital foundations, establishing common goals and, standardizing gift planning approaches which resulted in key stakeholders developing a transformational fundraising plan along with the results demonstrating success.

As a recognized executive leader, she has served on the Board of Trustees for St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, California where she was given the acclaimed Statue of St. Joseph’s which prominently overlooks her desk.  His presence reminds her of the core values that motive her philanthropic activities along with the philanthropy of others.

Amanda holds several degrees from UC Riverside and UCLA, and her Juris Doctorate from Western State University College of Law.  She has been an adjunct professor at CSU Long Beach, Irvine University College of Law and UC Irvine extension programs.   Amanda is a nationally known speaker and presenter on charitable estate and gift planning, major, capital, endowment and planned gifts.
